As uShip has expanded it’s European operations, we’ve been experiencing very rapid growth. In order to scale our global search engine, social media, and guerilla marketing efforts, we are looking for internet-savvy marketing intern that is native to Germany. This is a full time intern position.

If you’re an individual who wants to experience the unique and refreshing environment of an internet start up, this is the position for you. You will be working with the uShip Germany team allowing you to enhance all areas of user involvement, but with your primary focus being on German speaking customers and partners. Although the position is concentrated primarily on marketing, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our entire entrepreneurial practice.

This position is located in Amsterdam at uShip’s EU subsidiary in the Netherlands, and is a paid position.

Job Responsibilities:

Projects may vary, but possible examples are:

• Competitive site link analysis and link partner identification
• Compelling content creation or promotion
• Represent uShip in relevant customer and industry forums, blogs, and other social media outlets
• Manual link acquisition via email, phone, meet and greet, etc.
• Directory identification for new listers

The Ideal Candidate would also have:

• Knowledge of the German online and offline media landscape
• A general understanding of Search Engine Optimization
• Experience adjusting HTML & CSS (not writing it from scratch)
• Understanding of additional programming languages a plus
• Ability to speak other European languages

• Current college student or recent graduate in marketing, media, or computer science
• Fulltime employment as an intern for at least 3 months
• Must be fluent in German, written and verbal

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for participating in link building strategy, management, deployment and maintenance for a dozen categories across multiple countries. This will require:

• Competitive site link analysis and link partner identification
• Compelling content creation or promotion
• Manual link acquisition via email, phone, meet and greet etc.
• Directory identification and submission
• Link profile documentation – including acquisition, churn, and rankings impact
• Widget conceptualization and promotion
• Article creation and deployment
• Do-follow blog commenting
• Anchor Text Optimization (if allowed)

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Excellent link building skills and proof of success
• Familiar with HTML & CSS

You will be working directly with the both the senior developer and the executive team to build and expand the uShip website. Job Responsibilities:

• Developing web applications using ASP.NET, JavaScript and HTML
• Program and implement new functionality within the site in accordance with project deadlines and through effective interaction with the Product Development team
• Modify existing software to fix bugs on the website or to improve performance. Analyze, specify, design, test, and check quality prior to implementation
• Troubleshoot errors on the website as discovered and identify and implement the optimal solutions

Job Requirements:

• Degree in computer science or related discipline from a top school
• Experience in web application development
• Web application development experience using ASP.NET, JavaScript, XML and HTML
• Experience using SQL Server (scripting SQL, stored procedures) and Visual Studio

uShip is seeking an energetic and talented individual who is native or fluent in Dutch to join the Community, Trust and Safety (CTS) Team. The position is located at uShips main headquarters in Austin, TX U.S. and is a paid position. Candidates on a student visa must be eligible for CPT authorization, as this is required in order to receive compensation.

This individual will be working with the CTS team directly as well as the Manager and the uShip Global team to improve all areas of the users involvement. Main focus will be on the uShips Dutch customers and will include other international customers as well. If you have an interest in venture-backed internet start-ups, and are a motivated, smart, and driven individual who wants to experience work in a fast-paced environment, this is the position for you!

Job Responsibilities

• Working with the CTS team on user communications/support, specifically providing support to all Dutch customers and other international customers
